General Election November 2nd, 2010

Voter Registration Deadline: October 4th, 2010

Polk County residents who are not registered to vote, but would like to participate in the November 2nd General Election, have until October 4th to submit their completed voter registration form to the Elections Office in Bartow.  

Register to vote or you may click on the Registration Form Locations link to find a location with forms near you. 

Registered voters are reminded to update the Elections Office of any name or address change prior to Election Day.  To change your voter information on-line, click here 

Regardless of Party Affiliation, You May Vote in November.

All Polk County registered voters are eligible to vote in the General Election. 

Polling Locations:

Polls will be open November 2nd, 2010 from 7am to 7pm. You can locate the name of your polling location on your voter information card.  If you are unsure of your correct precinct you may click here and enter your address, or call our office at (863) 534-5888, and we will give you your precinct number and location.  If you move within the county, you must vote in your new precinct. Important reminder! It is unlawful to vote in a precinct where you do not live on Election Day.

3 Easy Ways to Vote:

  1. Vote by Mail: To request an absentee ballot, click here
  2. Vote at Your Precinct: Polls are open 7am to 7pm on Election Day.
  3. Vote Early In-Person: Vote at one of our convenient locations October 18th through October 30th (Monday through Saturday, 9am - 5pm.)
