2018 PRIMARY ELECTION INFORMATION

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

Regardless of party affiliation, all voters may vote in the August 28th Primary Election.  However, Florida is a Closed Primary State.  This means that only registered Democrats may vote for Democratic candidates and only registered Republicans may vote for Republican candidates.  Registered voters with no party affiliation or with minor party affiliation are eligible to vote in Non-Partisan and Universal Primary contests.

Registered voters are reminded to update the Elections Office of any name or address change prior to Election Day.  To change your voter information on-line, click here

Note:  To be eligible to vote in a party election, party changes must be made by the 29th day before an election.

Universal Primary:

If all candidates in a primary race have the same party affiliation and the winner will have no opposition in the General Election, all qualified electors, regardless of party affiliation may vote in the Primary Election for that office.
